Aligning Values and intentions for 2025

On January 25, five planets (Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Venus) will be visible to the naked eye, creating a rare “planetary parade.” Many believe that this alignment in the universe and the energy it brings create ideal conditions for reflection, and for setting intentions to align our values, goals, desires, and actions in the coming year.

Whether you ascribe that kind of power to the universe or not, the beginning of the year is an excellent time to devote ourselves to articulating the ways we want to show up in the new year. Looking back at the previous year, we can take stock of how, where, and to whom we gave our time, talents, love, friendship, and money. Looking forward, we can visualize and plan for the year ahead.

Many of us have mixed feelings at best about next year and the changes it may bring. There is power and hope in the way each of us shows up as our highest and best selves.

What will that look like for you? Who do you want to be in community with? What do you want to be doing? If you could allow your imagination to run free, what would you DREAM of doing? Writing a book? Walking the Camino? Taking singing lessons? Running for office?

Aspects of this retreat will be a little different than previous ones, with some weekly prompts and tools to prepare in advance for a day together creating beautiful, individual mandalas that capture your intentions. When we’re together, we’ll talk about the neuroscience behind visualization and meditation and how to use your mandala in the months ahead to stay focused on your goals.

As always, you can count on specially curated movement, yoga, sound and breath work led by Maude Moreno, RYT, and soul-soothing, delicious food from Chef Stephanie Klein.

Spend a day nourishing your mind, body, and spirit with us on January 25, 2024 at the amazing Whitehead Lodge. While we work on the website links for payment, you can email your interest to us at whollynourishedretreats@gmail.com. We can’t wait to spend a day in cosmic community with you!

Dr. Susan Campbell

Dr. Susan Campbell is a clinical psychologist and coach whose work has aligned around the theme of resilience for over 30 years. She is also deeply engaged in helping people identify the conditions that organically yield the lives they want to live, so less resilience is actually necessary.

Trained by Brené Brown and a certified facilitator of the curricula associated with her work, Susan’s workshops and retreats are grounded in research around vulnerability, connection, values, empathy, self-compassion, and resilience. She is gifted in creating spaces in which people feel seen, brave, and safe - where the noise of life’s demands and others’ expectations and judgment slip away.In that space, there is the possibility to reconnect with, nourish, and be directed by one’s own heart and voice.

What People Are Saying

Susan was profoundly respectful of the vulnerability we demonstrated, which created the sense of safety necessary for growth…she has a nurturing, encouraging and empowering style of facilitation.
Maude is a teacher in the highest sense of the word. Every minute of class, every segment, every movement is purposely and successfully designed to get the student to the next moment of the experience. The breathing, the meditation, the focus of each student is soundly guided by her expert step by step instructions. Maude supports each pupil, no matter where one might be in the practice or what one brings to the session.
Stephanie is an absolute show-stopper as a chef, as a hostess and as a human being. What I love most about her cooking is the thoughtfulness and heart she brings to her menus and how she sources her ingredients. Her food is amazingly fresh (she shares straight from her own garden) - and it’s beautiful! She doesn’t cover up the flavor of food - her touch is elegant and simple and rich - it’s like the food comes alive when you taste it!

We Hope You’ll join us!

Wholehearted living is not a one-time choice. It is a process…the journey is a lifetime. Because we’re human and so beautifully imperfect, we get to practice using our tools on a daily basis. In this way, courage, compassion and connection become gifts – the gifts of imperfection.
— Brené Brown
